Hoya Substrate Set
This set contains pine bark, perlite and lava rock to make a coarse, airy mix for established Hoyas. It does not include a fine moisture-holding base, which may be needed for small or newly rooted plants.
Our bark-led blend
Start with 4 parts pine bark, 2 parts perlite and 1 part lava rock. Adjust the particle size and, if necessary, mix in coco coir or another suitable base separately.
Watering after repotting
Even a chunky mix can remain wet in an oversized pot, while a very open mix can dry too quickly. Check moisture at root depth.
