Seeding & Cutting Soil
Seeding & Cutting Soil is a fine-textured medium for sowing seeds, rooting cuttings and growing small plugs. It is intended for the early growth stage, when roots need close contact with evenly moist substrate.
Fine contact for new roots
Fill small pots or trays loosely. Moisten the mix evenly, sow seeds at the depth appropriate to the species and keep cuttings in contact with the rooting medium.
Watering without saturation
Maintain moisture suited to the seeds or cuttings and allow excess water to escape. Humidity covers can reduce evaporation, so check the medium before adding more water.
Move on when ready
Once roots bind the plug together or grow beyond the container, pot plants into the appropriate species-specific mix. Root development is a better cue than a fixed four-to-six-week timetable.
